Pack Capital Ltd is a funding introduction company that specialises in arranging funding for commercial and residential property. This can be for acquisition and development along with portfolio refinancing with no upfront fees.
We are always happy to have an initial conversation with a potential client or introducer, with no cost involved. This is a fact-finding conversation, during which the client would explain the business or project requiring funding. We will then provide our preliminary thoughts on which form of financing is most suitable, and the likelihood of finding a lender willing to provide it.
Meet the Team
Paul Mahon FBII
Managing Director
Starting out with Lombard North Central [asset finance] Paul went on to be the Managing Director of a highly successful, high yielding property development group of companies [18 years] and so understands all your funding requirements, timescales and ever-changing financial needs. His expertise in identifying and acquiring high quality, sustainable development sites came from having over 25 years’ experience working within the licensed property industry. Paul oversaw the negotiation of all property acquisitions, funding for both bridge and development and was also responsible for the build projects. This included all sales and lettings of all the residential, commercial and licensed properties within the divisions of the group.
Paul is qualified in inspection, refurbishment and design of commercial, residential and licensed property.
His most famous project to date was designing and managing the conversion of 'No Mans Land Fort' in the Solent from an abandoned hulk into the luxurious accommodation, you see today with stylish bars, gymnasium and banqueting suite.
He has overseen both disposals and acquisitions for major PubCo's and investment groups along with his own group ownerships giving him a unique insight into this funding sector, from being an owner / multi operator, development consultant and project manager dealing with all aspects of agents, architects, planners, lawyers, fund providers, designers and builders.
Paul is a Fellow of the BII.
Richard Grainger
Clear Idea Finance Ltd
Richard has more than 25 years’ experience in banking and finance. He began his banking career in the mid-1990s with Credit Suisse in New York and London. There he spent three years learning the ropes of commercial finance and lending.
He then spent 12 years with Barclays Bank in London and Hong Kong, where he became Director and Head of Financial Institutions within the bank’s investment banking division. In that role, he was responsible for raising large amounts of debt finance for the bank’s clients, and advising them on balance sheet and capital management.
Despite all the globe-trotting, Richard is an East Anglian boy at heart, having grown up in Essex and Suffolk. He started planning Clear Idea Finance in 2019 and the company began operating in 2020. Richard is passionate about helping business owners, entrepreneurs and property investors and developers to find the finance they need to achieve their goals.
Richard has MA and BA (Hons) degrees in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
